INTRODUCTION
District Council of Child Welfare, Rewari came into existence in 1989-90 on the creation of District Rewari by the Government of Haryana. District Council for Child Welfare is engaged in the upliftment and all round development of children. Apart from it, the council is committed for the educational and recreational needs of the children. Run under the direct supervision of the Deputy Commissioner, the Council has full time staff to look after and run the programmers and objectives of the Council more efficiently and successfully. District Council for Child Welfare is serving the Children in the urban as well as rural areas. The DCCW, Rewari is a branch of Haryana State Council for Child Welfare, Chandigarh which is affiliated to Indian Council for Child Welfare, New Delhi. Hon'ble Governor is the President and Hon'ble Chief Minister is the Vice President at the State Level.
Major Aims and Objectives of Council:-

To co-ordinate activities and help in the development of Child Welfare movement in the District.

To work as liaison among voluntary agencies and between the voluntary agencies and government agencies and department for maximum, cooperation, eliminating duplication, processing more resources and ultimately securing continued improvement in standards of child care.

To organize conferences, seminars, study groups, workshops and publish Literature of topical and long range significance and to conduct researcher with special reference to conditions with the District.

To initiate action for promoting child welfare services in neglected areas and for meeting needs. By setting up essential pilot projects.

To raise money and funds by borrowing or otherwise as may be deemed fit for and on behalf of the Council.
